ScandalNight is a monthly storytelling club for grown-ups run by Scandalmongers in collaboration with the gorgeously charming Tom Thumb Theatre, featuring some of the UK's top professional performance storytellers and most exciting emerging artists.
Prepare to be spellbound, moved, inspired as you travel the world from the comfort of your (lovely red velvet) seat.
We feature a new storyteller every month. These storytellers tour nationally and internationally. They perform at venues such as the Barbican and the Soho Theatre and at storytelling festivals across the world. They really are hot stuff.
Book or Reserve your tickets in advance - there are only 50 seats and they fill up fast! (Plus it helps us to know how many cakes to bake on Friday morning!)

LOKIStorytelling by Emily Parrish and Music by Filipe Gomes
In the dark world of the North, where Gods and Giants hammer the twists of fate, the boldest shapeshifter has just crossed the line.
As the teeth of the hungry wolf close in on the moon, is this the beginning of the end?
At the heart of this performance lie a passion for Norse mythology and a hungry curiosity for exploring the light that music and sound can shine on the hidden and untold spaces of the story. Emily and Filipe began collaborating a couple of years ago with a performance of Echo and Narcissus. Keen to embrace a new challenge, LOKI is on ongoing project which keeps shapeshifting with every performance.

PUSSY'S IN THE WELL
Xanthe Gresham & Nick Hennessey
A well is an eye of the earth...so, in an attempt to improve vision, Xanthe Gresham and Nick Hennesey uncover the stories and songs of the U.K’s lost watercourses and their even more lost goddesses.
Like a divining-rod incarnate, Xanthe Gresham has spent the last few years unearthing deities from Soho telephone boxes, Argentinean tango classes and middle class dinner parties. They’ve been airy, earthy and fiery – and this time they’ll be wet. This is metaphorical archaeology of the soul.
‘Whatever we lose (like a you or a me), It’s always our self we find in the sea’ E.E. Cummings
"Xanthe summons goddesses and heroes to take centre stage, not from some long forgotten past, but emanating from here and now, you and me. She unfolds each tale like the petals of a lotus. At the end you leave with something beautiful created in your own mind." British Theatre Review.
A singer, songwriter and storyteller Nick is a dynamic and passionate performer whose love for the traditional culture of northern Europe forges together the note, the song and the spoken word into a unique and engaging style.
"A fine voice, pure and unforced. His fluid style and engaging presence is a winning combination…a compelling demonstration of storytelling's many faces." The Times
